WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
Plumbers, Architects, General Contractors, Engineers, Designers, other
building professionals and end-users are encouraged to attend.
This class is for design and installation of solar thermal hot water
and space heating systems. Learn how to integrate solar thermal heating for
domestic hot water and space heating.
Attend this seminar to Learn about;
SLASH-D: a free web-based design tool that will have you designing a
complete solar thermal combi-system in 15 minutes.
SLIC: a solar logic integrated control that operates an entire heating system (renewable energy plus backup). You can monitor and control the system from your office. The client receives a simple thermostat and remote access.
Installers are required to attend a training in order to install a SLIC.
This one day 7-hour class teaches solar thermal design principles and installation techniques for domestic hot water and solar combi-systems in new and retrofit applications. Special emphasis is placed on control system technology for integrating renewable energy, conventional heat sources and all loads with the benefits of remote monitoring, control, diagnosis and reporting.
NABCEP Continuing Education Credits
Participants are eligible for 8 hours of NABCEP continuing education credits. In this training, participants will:
• Review plumbing and control principles for solar thermal combisystems
• Design solar thermal systems with a free web-based program called the
SLASH-D
• Learn installation procedures for a plug-and-play, all-in-one control
system
• View and analyze multiple renewable energy heating systems in real-time
• Adjust a real heating system via the internet
• Commission a newly installed Fairbanks solar thermal system remotely with
an installer onsite.
